We updated the Tyrant main title for season 3 with a new logo sequence that communicates the darker aspects of the show. This revised approach uses the metaphor of tarnished gold that emerges stronger, more refined and more beautiful – symbolic of the trials and hardship the main character suffered through the betrayal of his brother.
For this new pass we were lucky to have the amazing 3d / VFX talent of designers Joshua Smith and Jeff Briant.

Tyrant Season 3 Main Title refresh
I was approached by Danny Yount to help refresh the main title sequence for the FX series Tyrant.
Josh smith jumped on and the three of us re-did the last 30 seconds of the titles. Josh did most of the animation / rendering and I was basically more involved in the concept and ideas stage.
